Vertical Rigging Line Rack

This is a description of the unit I built to store and dispense rigging line for my ship models. It is screwed down to a shelf under my work table.

8X Spool Shaft 3/8"Diameter by 5" Hardwood Dowel 16X Flanges 1/8" by 1 7/8" Diameter Plastic (from sheet stock) 6X Standoffs 1/2" Diameter by 4 1/4" Walnut 6X
2X Upper Bearing Plates 1/4" by 2 3/16" by 10" Plastic
Needle Bearings (Torrington) .500" OD by .312" ID by .438"
6X Dowels Hardwood 3/16" by 1" - 6X 1 1/4" 4X - 3/16"by 1 1/2"

Base Plate
The base plate is drilled for the 3/16" dowel pins as follows; All hole locations are central to the width and length of the baseplate.
There are a total of twelve holes in the baseplate. They are all 3/16" except for the two mounting holes. I will leave those hole locations out
because they are dedicated to my particular unit. You can make yours to suit.

Take the left end (facing you) and call it the X reference edge. Take the front side (facing you) and call it the Y reference edge.

At the intersection of the X and Y edges is our starting point for all hole locations.
1. 6.000" X - .750"" Y
2. 2.375" X - 2.000" Y
3. 9.500" X - 2.000" Y
4. 1.250" X - 2.500" Y
5. 10.750" X - 2.500" Y
6. 1.250" X - 3.500" Y
7. 10.750" X- 3.500" Y
8. 2.375" X - 4.000" Y
9. 9.500" X - 4.000" Y
10. 6.000" X - 5.250" Y
