The drawers - 13 of them - are made in six different sizes to fit practically any need.   At the bottom of each tier is a large drawer for letters and catalogues.

The storage space at the back of the bench can be reached by doors at either end.   It holds materials up to 8" across and 4' long.   Also, when the top lid is in closed position there is an 8" space above the regular workbench top.   This is a fine place for freshly glued, painted or semi-assembled projects to be left safe and out of the dust.

The hobby center is made mostly from 3/4" plywood. Contstruction details are given in the drawing on the left.   Assemble it with finish nails, screws and glue.   After completing give it two coats of penetrating sealer.
